You could not get a logical proof that they don't do so.
What is amazing to me is that anyone would build a defense of a credo based on "Can you prove it isn't so?" There are an infinite number of absurdities that can make this illogical claim.
By the way, did I tell you I now own the Brooklyn Bridge and am selling stock in it?

We could set up a video camera to monitor our surrounding area while we were sleeping. Where are they roaming exactly? I suppose we could also search for their hoof prints. (Assuming somebody knew what pink unicorn hoof prints looked like.)

Well, I don't have any proof that they do but I have faith that they don't. That's what seperates us from angels and why they fear us because we have faith WITHOUT proof. They walk with God everyday!!
