Use hydro-cortisone cream if you have some (it is a cream/lotion with steroids). Otherwise, you can use preparation H. I know it sounds gross, but it too has steroids in it - which reduces puffiness. You should also try applying ice to it - not directly b/c it may agitate it.
I HATE it when this happens. I feel like an Ogar. Anyways, definitely take some Benadryl or some kind of anti-histamine. Swelling should reduce as the day goes on. As for being allergic to Proactive, you may want to spot test the stuff on your fore-arm (b/c it is the most sensitive skin other that your face). Your eyes may have puffed up from the astringent - which has alcohol in it. Your eye skin is ultra sensitive. If your "spot test" comes back fine... just keep proactive away from your eye area & Don't use it as an eye makeup remover.

stop using the proactiv, and go to a very simple diet of fruits and vegetables and fresh water till you clear the reaction..it is better to goon its own than using antihistamin tablets as you never know what will be the side effect of them on you! also visit Nutritional therapist so they can do all the chek ups and give you proper diet and supplement to resolve the problem and not only cover it up with antihistamine!

it does not sound like an hypersensitive reaction. perhaps an infection? bypass on your community pharmacy and ask the pharmacist what they think of. no remember if that's an hypersensitive reaction they'd provide you an antihistamine (the two pills or eyedrops). if that's a bacterial an infection they'd provide you some antibiotic eyedrops (uncertain what u . s . you're in - chlorsig, an antibacterial, has merely exchange into available over the counter in Aus).
