when i try to install it starts the install then half way through or so it asks for the disk to be inserted. Problem is the disk is already inserted. I have two drives and it happens in both of them. I have done all that microsoft says to do to solve, but nothing works. I need help with this as i cannot install anything now.

I suppose it could be a bad disk, but i tried 6 different ones and still get the message to insert the disk. There must be someway to fix this.

Your computer could be fine and you are merely the proud owner of currupted installation disks. It's happened to me several times. Can you go to the website to download the programs/apps? I'm sure Microsoft had you verify your drives are working correctly. So, call the program's maker and skip Microsoft.
