I told this girl that I am crazy about that I think she is amazing & I was surprised she was still single, then she told me she is "technically" still living with her boyfriend of 7 years. FYI: they have been off & on the past couple of years. Does this sound like an opening for me?

No . . .don't bother. She hasn't let go of the hope that she and her ex will work it out. No woman would remain in the same living situation with a single guy unless she still wanted him. She needs to deal with her situation before she even thinks about dating anyone else. Sorry but you can still be her friend, maybe help her get out of that situation and see what happens from there.

Whether there's another guy ivolved or not, the fact that she mentioned it to you means she's hesitant.
Just backtrack a bit with her and get some more info. Make her see what a great guy you are, and become her best friend and confidant, and whenever this other guy messes up, make sure she knows that You'd Never Do That, and then one day - she'll be wrapped around your little finger...just dont let her use you! And dont use her either!!
