My sister asked for help with her computer and noe it's been broken so it doesn not display the screen settings. What should she do?

I'm not quite sure from your description what has happened. Are you trying to say that the computer won't boot? You can try booting the computer in Safe Mode by holding down F8 while booting. This will bring up a menu that will allow the computer to boot without loading many of the normal drivers and programs that load at startup. Then you will hopefully be able to eliminate the problem. Also, you didn't say what you did to the computer before this problem was caused, but in general, try undoing it. You can use the Windows XP System Restore function to do this, perhaps. You might want to call in somebody who is used to working with computers on this one.

If IE is your purely browser, you does no longer have any way of downloading a clean replica. The Trojan is residing on your pc in a separate report and the possibility is that deleting IE does no longer do away with it. once you load up your new replica of IE, it might exchange into contaminated and the registry might exchange.
