OK, I've been sick for about a week now. And I am crapping my brains out. Yesterday I went like 9 times, at least. Anyone know how I can get more solid poop and less diarrhea?

Hello, The last thing you want to do is to take a laxative or stool softener. And the comment about Metamucil will work but it will take time. My advice for more immediate fix is to take Imodium AD. You take 2 with a full glass of water. Then every time you go to the bathroom you take 1 more. Within a couple of hours it will stop. But you also need to drink a lot of water. Diarrhea can dehydrate you and then you will feel even worse. So don't forget the water. Hope you get better soon.

you probably have an infection in the colon and need prescriptions of antibiotics and a diarrhea mix ....don't eat anything spicy, fried, stick with soups, oh and sometimes red wine will change the ?? in the colon.....forget the word ....I was overseas and got this, but I have IBS anyway and I got it really bad and called doc I work for and he told me to drink some red wine ...not get drunk! lol....but go to the doctor and get it checked out......oh and stop milk products and no orange juice for now too...those don't help diarrhea either

add more fiber to your diet. metamucil should do the trick. but if you've just got viral gastroenteritis, then the diarrhea should resolve on it's own. just drink plenty of fluids for now to prevent dehydration.
