You can't. Sometimes the screen name here is the same as their Yahoo.com e-mail address so a regular e-mail MIGHT go through.

I would like to know myself. Someone sent me an email from YA and was asking for a response. I clicked on the "answer this message" and when I tried to send the message, it said that the email as not been comfirmed. This is not a privacy thing, what is email confirmation?

When they registered with Yahoo, they were sent an e-mail to confirm their address. If they have not clicked on the link provided in the e-mail, Yahoo is not sure the address is valid. I don't know of any way around it.
