Having a Transvaginal Ultrasound. Very scared and nervous.
Will it hurt me ? What happens ?
How big is the thing,they put inside me ?

The probe they put inside you is not very big. Its lubricated so goes in easily and it does not hurt at all. the worst aspect of it is that its usually cold Brrrr lol;

No it doesn't hurt, just a little uncomfortable. Its a thin long piece of instrument almost like the size of a speculum. You have to remember to relax as much as possible the more tense you get the more uncomfortable you will feel. The doctor will be able to see your uterus and ovaries and if your pregnant he/she will be able to see the baby and the babies heart beat and tell how many weeks you are. I hope my answer to your question has helped you some. It may sound scary, but it isn't.

i have had several of these for as many reasons the ones i had where not to painful. I aint gonna lie they were ocquared but did not take long and wasnt near as bad as my nerves were waiting to get them done. main point mine where not painful. like a reg ultrasound but inside you

i had to have one when I was IN LABOR! it feels like you are having bad menstraul cramps when the push it in. It is pretty much like getting a pap smear as far as the procedure for penetration but it isnt bad. You will be ok! If you can handle your periods this wont be too much worse.

Itr won't hurt. Just slightly uncomfortable if the transducer is cold. It will fit up there just fine.. Relax!

i had one done a while ago
it was sooo painful i started to cry
i hope yours isnt liek that
its just a probe tht looks like a tampon and they stck it up

it hurts a little,,, had it done a few times while i was pregnant

but i think its more uncomfortable than anything......if you try to remain relaxed it shouldnt be so bad
