Firefox 2.0 is a better option over firefox 1.5. The release is stable and available for public usage from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

List of changes for Firefox 2.0 are available at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/2.0.0.1/releasenotes/

PC World (December 2006) gave it a 90% rating, while IE7 received 82%. FF 2.0 is far more streamlined than IE7 and offers a superior antiphishing tool. It also uses less computer resources and pioneered the tabbed browsing feature.

Firefox 2 is good but I found that I had difficulties playing multimedia files in it. There are plugins you can download to do this but it seemed very difficult to get them to work how I wanted.

If you are only going to be browsing normal web pages then go with Firefox, but if you want to be able to view all types of files, video, audio, PDF files, etc - then my advice is to stay with your existing browser.

Oh yes. People keep saying the improvements are minimal, and you don't really notice them. But once you use 1.5 again then you'll notice how you'll miss those features. Spellcheck is awesome (I would've written realy instead of really in this post :P ), session restore works very fast, and I also love being able to disable extensions and enable them when you need them. On top of that, I think it also looks better, but that's a matter of taste.

Yes it is awesome. It comes loaded with some neat add-ons like session restore and the tab closing xs. I do agree that you need to install some plug-ins, but even then the pages that you run across with mistakes are few.

Also you must download ADBLOCK to block all the ads you don't want to see messing your pages up.

=D good luck.
