Hey there, I am a pretty strong Christian but sometimes I too have my weakness of waiting on Gods Timeing on things that I would like to try and take control on such as who I am suppose to be with my purpose etc.... The more I pray I seem to want to find more answers but nothi ng is really comeing to me. I know that God somtimes uses others to help reviele what hes trying to say and I was wondering what others thoughts are and if anyone has and Good scripture on paitence or the power of praryer and what I should be trying for and what i shouldn't be praying for? Thank you for your time!

God's timing can be difficult for us to understand, can't it? But I personally wouldn't want a god that I could understand. If His ways were within human understanding, He would be subject to human shortcomings as well.

God gives us three answers when we pray: yes, no, and wait. It can be difficult to tell the difference between "no" and "wait".

Consider this: are you praying in Jesus's name and for God's will? Christ gave us the model prayer. The second part? "Thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven."

Hey, a conversation is a two-way thing. You can't do all the talking and expect to come out with an answer. You have to learn to listen. A lot of people have trouble figuring out how to listen. They're still waiting for the bright light, big clouds, and the audible, booming voice. Sorry, but that's not usually God's way of speaking to us. He's the still small voice in our hearts. And He's given us His Word. My youth pastor tells us "If you want to know God's mind, get into HIS WORD."

So read your Bible, try to discover God's will, and pray that His will be done. More than anything, just trust and rely on Him.

Some passages about Waiting:
Psalm 27
Psalm 130
Romans 8:24-26
Jude 1:20-21
Psalm 33

Patience:
Galatians 5:22-23
Colossians 1:10-12

I assure you that God is talking to you each and every day. Many of us miss what God is saying to us because we are waiting on something that sounds like the things we heard from religion as we were growing up.

This can cause us to wait forever. A great deal of what religion has to say is based on the fears and misconceptions of those who wrote, translated and interpreted the various religious texts that have become the scripture that we follow. In am not saying that all scripture is flawed but much of it has been misunderstood due to this. These misunderstandings have been passed down generation after generation.

For this reason when God does speak to us we do not associate what we are hearing with The so-called word of Gods that we have become accustomed to.

Love and blessings Don

I have found most of the time that God is waiting on me. There is usually something he wants you to do and deep down you know it but you ignore it. Try reading your Psalms out loud, as these are proven prayers of prophets and kings, and read scripture about the gospel. ( I Corinthians 15:1-4 explains the gospel). In I Timothy 2:1-8 we learn that Paul is telling young Timothy how to instruct the church as to what God wants us to pray for and why. This is just a start. Hope it helps and God Bless. Don't be in a hurry for a mate. Tell God that if it his will for you to marry, let you know when and who. Tell God to "handle it" and that you want His will not your own.

You need to continue to pray or as sometime said wait in prayer

continue to pray for what you ared asking for.Remember God does not work on your time.

Your prayer could be amist.meaning your praying for something you have no bussiness praying for

Your request could require more prayer andspiritual power than you assume

Or it is possible that a devil is holding up an angel tryna deliver the answer. In wihich cas its all the more important you continue in prayer

Oh!And of course make sure you have faith God can answer your prayer.

Praying is just talking to God. The Bible says "Pray in the spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests." Also it's easier to steer a moving car so if you are waiting on something specific like a job, you need to take a step and apply and see what happens.

God answers, you're just not listening.
You can't pray for material things, it doesn't work like that.
