my wife had to deal with this at her last workplace. She took stinky to lunch and laid it out. The trick is to be respectful, friendly and not attack the person, just the behaviour that is disruptive. She doesn't know she has this problem and will thank the person that tells her if all goes well. I've had to deal with this issue many times with male employees but that is easier than female. It needs to be a female that brings it up with her. Do it away from work in a relaxed atmosphere.

The simple solution is to get a can of AIR SPRAY or ODOR NEUTRALIZER to carry in your pocket each time you go to the restroom or take up a collection from everyone the woman included to get a can. Also check with the janitorial service to see if they could supply a can for the restroom.
When people don't wash the body; man, woman or child, no matter their sexual persuasion ..they stink and that's it!!!

If you really want to help her, all you can do is sit down and talk with her about it - privately. She already knows she has a problem, I'm sure. Start out by saying you care about her well-being and want to help as a friend. Ask if she's been to a doctor, or if she needs help finding one. If she needs someone to go with her.
If she does not want help, you really can't do anything about it, except reinforce that you're willing to help when she's ready.
If she says she's been to the doctor, but there's not much that can be done, then you have to accept that as well, and do continue to try to be a friend.

Why is it relevant that she's gay and doesn't have a woman?
What matters is that she allegedly has a serious body odor problem, and it has begun to affect her job performance - that is, she's shunned by her co-workers.
Does your company have a human resources department?
If so, contact them, and let them deal with it - they're trained to deal with stuff like that in a sensitive way.

Shee first needs a psychologist to talk to, i think. One cant change his/her desires, specially if that is sexual desires, but they can hide at places they need to hide. Not only a psychologist can help her, i think if you want you can help her too, by being a good listner to her, understanding her and let her know you understand her. Remember, without giving her a chance to know you want to help her with this matter. That may effect her negatively. If you think you have such an influence in your words which can bring a change to one's personal life one way or another, then you can be a good consultant to her. Since you know her better. Go with it. Best of luck!

Being lesbian does not make one stink. Stay away from her crouch. She might be a tiger with a hidden dragon lurking somewhere nearby.

If management has already addressed the problem, there's not much you can do. If it's that bad, find a different place to work. But remember, there's always going to be somebody that smells bad.
Wait, how do you know it comes from her crotch? Been there, have you?
