incoming mail server and outgoing mail server are both
mail.btinternet.com
port numbers are defaults: 110 for POP3 and 25 for SMTP
CRUCIAL: check the box which says:
My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication

Think the pop and smtp servers are both mail.btinternet.com no longer have btinternet so can't help with ports etc. log in to your email at http://www.btinternet.com and go to help there should be something giving you the settings for outlook. There used to be a link to set it up for you but don't know if they still offer this

open outlook express go to Tools on the top bar then accounts then click add then put in your details the email address from btinternet and pop.btinternet.com where it asks for it and stmp.btinternet.com where it ask for that put passwords etc all in and when its set up click send and recieve.

Just wanted to add to this that you should download Mozilla Thunderbird. It is a free open source POP email application and its better than outlook express:
