Hello there,

Put in your Windows XP cd, start your computer. Go into your bios and make sure that in your boot order, you have the CD rom BEFORE any hard drive.

Once you do this, you can boot to the Windows XP CD. If you have a reinstallation CD from a vendor, follow it's instructions. If you have the Windows XP CD, you need to destroy the partition. You need to break what is there. You'll know you are in the correct place if you are asked to press "L" to continue. Then, let the CD recreate the partition and label it "C" and let it install.

Depending on your hardware, this can take from 20 minutes to2 hours.

Good luck

First you should back-up all your personal files either in a partition drive or in a cd or dvd.

Once backed-up. Insert copy of your windows xp installer then restart your pc.

During boot up press F8 then select the drive where you placed the windows installer.

Then, the rest of the steps shall be given by the installer.
