I really liked one of my friends. Everyday after the class we had together we would walk with each other either arms around each other or arms linked and then we would hug and sometimes kinda hold hands and then maybe hug again and we just felt really close. Everyone said that he wouldnt do those things if he didnt like me and that I should talk to him. So finally after a week of worry I asked "So...do you like me...more than a friend?" And he said "We are friends." and I said "yeah I know." and then we talked about something else. What happened? Why am I confused?

You and he may both be nervous and shy. Go back to how you used to be for a while until you are ready to bring it up again, maybe in a different way, and next time don't just give up. Your guy might not have been sure what YOU felt, so he wasn't sure what to say. Or he wasn't ready yet.

Ask him to go to the movies with you (just you), out to lunch with you, and bowling or running or whatever you enjoy, just the two of you. If he goes with you and enjoys doing things just with you, it's a good sign, but if he refuses... not a good sign. If everything works well for a while, when you're dancing sometime (or doing anything... walking with him, finishing eating your ice cream cones just you and him, etc.) just be brave and kiss him. If his reaction is positive, way to go! If it's negative, you can still go back to being friends, and you haven't lost anything.

Good luck!
