Yes, we do it all the time. It's especially great when you have a cheap cut of steak. It makes it very moist and tender.

Lots of people do, but if the steak is a good cut of meat, then the steak itself should provide the best taste. When I cook mine, I put some dry "all season" on it, rub it in and then grill them to the desired doneness.
If you want to add a sauce, make a bernace (not sure if I spelled that right) sauce. It is a butter based sauce and you can get it in a package at your grocery store. Knorr is the brand I use.

Heres the recipe that I use
Beer Marinade For Beef Recipe
Ingredients:
2 cans Beer
1/2 cup Olive oil
1 tablespoon Wine vinegar
1 teaspoon Onion powder
1 teaspoon Garlic powder
2 teaspoons Salt
1 teaspoon Ground cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon Prepared horseradish
2 tablespoons Lemon juice
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together and use as a marinade. Then use as a basting sauce for the meat while it cooks.
This recipe for Beer Marinade For Beef serves/makes 2 cups

oh ya i have it'S the best
1 can guiness
soy sauce
brown sugar, coriander seed,cumin,chili flke, mustard seed
boil 1/2 can of beer with soy brown suger coriander seed cumin chili and mustard seed for until sugar has desolved
remove from the heat and let cool then add the rest of the beer and let it chill in the fridge then add ur meat let it sit has long as possible
