Well my girls love the gummys. But you can get like ensure for babies. They do have like a chocolate supplement. But either way that is still sweet. Don't be so strict on the sweets thing. As long as you have a good balance. Being a first time mom we want to do everything right but it is inevitable that they are going to get sweets and it might as well be on your terms and not someone elses.

If your child is eating healthy, you probably don't need to supplement with vitamins. Talk to your pediatrician and his 15 month check up--or his 18 month check up if you've already had the 15 and see what he says. I don't use supplements b/c nutrients are better absorbed from the food--their digestive systems work so fast that they can't absorb enough nutrients in the supplements to make it worth giving. (that's my own theory--I need to talk to my doc about that I suppose).
But you know how, when adults take a vitamin that say provides 100% of something? Well, our bodies are not able to absorb all of that--so you don't really get 100% of something----I am applying that theory to my child, who's digestive system is much faster.
So, talk to your doc and see what he says. It sounds like you are on the right track by keeping your child away from sweets and supplying plenty of fruits and veggies, so I don't think you need vitamins.

There's your problem there starting your child of on supplements. I mean there's nothing wrong with vitamins I take them too but don't ever use them to take the place of veggies .You can't always trust the labels. If you do it don't .
But if you want to make your child fat (they do put sugar in the
children vitamin) you could use gummy Vite's.

Talk to your pediatrician. Ecessive vits and minerals can be harmful. Always check with your MD before giving any child meds including OTC, and herbs.
