speak with your dr. about what medications are appropriate for you to be taking while pregnant. It is a good idea that if it is the flu and not just a cold to let them know anyway, just so they can make suggestions about what you should do should the symptoms worsen.
place a humidifier in your room when you sleep (cool mist, not warm) take baths (not too hot), cough drops, vicks rub, drink lots and lots of fluids (until you think you could float away).
Be sure not to take any medications unless you have consulted with your OB about what you should take.
Hope you feel better, that can be miserable.

depends on how far along. I wasn't able to take anything but plain tylenol through my 1st 2 trimesters, but was allowed to take Tylenol with cold remedies added in my 3rd. Ask your doctor. I also got a flu shot, which is safe while pregnant, but I think it's a little late now for that in your case. Either way, it sucks for you and I feel bad for you because... even if your doctor DOES say it's fine to take tylenol flu, etc, it will still take you twice as long to recover than the people who can use the heavy duty prescribed stuff. My best friend, her 2-yr-old, and husband all got pretty sick while she was pregnant. They were better in 4 days or so and it took her close to 3 weeks!

Feel better and PLEASE ask your doctor about the tylenols with cold remedies.

Always call your doctor for info. I was told to take robatussin DM and no other brand, and not to take the tylenol cold even though the regular tylenol is fine. Check with your doctor.
