At about 4 weeks (before I had ANY idea I was pregnant) I took a capsule of pure MDMA. Any idea of the effects this may or may not have on my baby?

One study has reported that infants born to mothers who have taken MDMA during pregnancy are at increased risk of birth defects, and another study found no abnormalities among babies born to mothers who have used MDMA.
Please see Google search on MDMA and pregnancy.

Before you do anything crazy...you need to discuss this with your doctor.

The answers above are saying it will cause birth defects, however, I'm sure it depends on how much you take etc. (not saying your in the clear)

Talk to your doctor!

As someone already said you need to discuss it with your doctor. it can cause defects but if you ask your doctor he can give you the statistics in this occurring. plus you haven't been taking this continuously through pregnancy so that will help.

yes it's a known teratogen. it can intercalate into the DNA and cause major birth defects. 4 weeks is an important period in the baby's development in terms of vital organ formation, so that's a really bad time to be introducing teratogens into the baby's bloodstream.
