does anyone have any ideas to raise my score besides making above minimum payments on my cards cause i ALREADY DO THAT ON TIME AND EVERYTHING AND STILL my score is low from previous delinquency! i cant change the past but trying to do good now and for the future hasnt seem to do crap for me in the past 2 years. any ideas maybe numbers to call or letters to write? im desperate to get my score up without going to one of those agencies because i dont need them its not that im out of money or anything like that

Yes, I agree with the gentleman above. I would only add this-- try not to apply for credit cards/ buy a new car/ or have anyone pull your credit for 6 months. Also, if forced to choose b/w a credit card bill and a mortgage payment ---choose the mortgage payment -- they weigh 30% on your credit score. But other than that try to keep CC b/w 30-40% of the limit and keep paying things on time--

First of all, check your report to see if you have any collections. Pay these off; the phone numbers to contact to do this should be on the report. Next, lower the balances on your credit cards. Make sure they are below half of the maximum. The next thing is to keep making payments on time, one late payment can hurt you, whether it is on a car, rent/mortgage, or bills. Some may not report to the credit bureaus, but it is always best to play it safe.

Unfortunately repairing damaged credit is a process that happens over time, there isn't really a magic bullet out there for things like this. Even if you were to pay of the delinquencies, they will still stay on your credit unless you can get the creditor to remove it as a goodwill gesture upon paying them off.
