The falling movements of the tree disturb matter molecules in itself, the air, and objects that it strikes. The movement of those disturbed molecules then bump into nearby and adjacent molecules causing a wave propagation of molecules like dominoes falling against each other. Many lifeforms have bodies and brains that have hearing sensory parts that are sensitive to such movements of molecules. For example, when the wave of disturbed molecules from a falling tree touch a thin piece of tissue, or membrane, in our human ear, the membrane vibrates. Nerves in the membrane and attached to it send a translation of those movements to the brain in the form of electrical signals. In the brain, more electrical activity occurs to translate the signal and store it somewhere in a file of other signals sorta like that one. Once that signal gets properly filed, the person then can "perceive" it or be aware of it. That perception is called "sound". Without brains and nervous systems, there is no sound, just rippling waves of molecules.

Yes. The sound waves are created and then they must be detected.
What your question leaves out is there any animal that would here the sound vibrations.
In a forsest, of course there will be somethnig to hear it. It might not be a human, but there is something that heres it.

uh, yes...just because someone isn't there to bare witness, doesn't mean it doesn't produce a sound. it's like, if someone's playing drums on a stage far away, the drums still make sounds even though you don't hear it from where your standing.

It will make a sound but it will not be heard, which is a perception, and interpretation of our thought processes, reflexes etc.

"know one"? You mean "no one" right?
If that's the case, then by definition, it does make a sound. No matter what, it makes a sound.
