im 23, a guy.... i was whipped on my back, with a belt or something that hurt and I had no shirt..... anyone else this happen to? or what happened to u? tell me your experience...

When I was a kid , it was belt whipping on my butt. Then at around highschool and college it was positive action award. like if I got this high report card/course card average or perfect score, I get this amount of money or I get to buy an expensive clothing/electronic item etc (parents paying for it ofcourse)...

I would not call that "disciplined". Nor would my parents. We (and just about any other sane person) would call it "abuse".
Discipline in our household was limited to a show of disappointment from our parents. I got spanked a couple of times, not to hurt but to drive home the point that what I had done was the worst (I *had* done something that could have easily killed me or gotten me kidnapped) thing possible.
My sister tried to use slaps and hard grabs of my wrists to show force but it was never supported by parents and I was made aware of it.

I was mostly grounded. I hardly ever remember being spanked. I turned out fine.
I maybe spanked my son 2 - 3 times at the most when he was little and he's a fine up-standing kid. I just don't really believe in spanking. It just teaches people to solve their problems with violence and we really don't need any more of that.

My parents would spank my BUTT, but they would never go outside of that area.
It sounds like your parents crossed that fine line between spanking and abuse.
I'm a supporter of corporal punishment (on the rear end ONLY), but what you got should have been reported to the police. That IS abuse.

That was child abuse. My parents usually took something from
me that I really liked. The only spanking I got was from our maid
and she was fired because of it. And the reason that she spanked
me was because I brought home my best friend and she hadn't
given me permission. My parents had given me permission the
night before.

i remember the first time i was spanked, my dad said "this will hurt me, more than it'll hurt you"....and even tho i was about 4 yrs old, i still knew that was ridiculous....i was disciplined many ways, spanking, hitting, kicking, belittling, and being grounded....i personally don't agree with using physical violence to "discipline" children, but it's very common

My worst punishment was being put in a chair and not allowed to get up. It was a large chair with wings and high arms. Now when I am in an enclosed space I get claustrophobic.

i was told i was beaten.. with a belt.... but i dont remember it, but when my dad adjusts his belt and my eyes get big he laughs his *** off so it must be true

i got told, and i listened. if i didnt, i got a smack but that stopped at a certain age - about 9 or something

I wasn't I was always very quiet and very good and if I did make a mistake, it was resolved with a small talking-to. :D
