We are all born with a "God shaped" void in ourselves. ONLY God can fit and fill that space. People who attempt to fill it with alcohol or other drugs, sex, power or anything other than what needs to go there wind up extremely unhappy. YBIC

Faith in God gets you places you can't go any other way and the best example is heaven! Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. The fool has said in his heart there is no God. The need is getting to heaven by faith and having the wisdom to live an abundant life on earth.

Our life evolves on faith. When we board a plane, we have faith that it will take us to our destination. When we cross a green light, we have faith that the cars on the crossing road have a red light and that they will stop. So we need faith on our daily life dealings, so why not have or develop faith in God? He is our protector, benefactor and well wisher. Now, when you are driving on an unknown solitary area and you see a police car, do you feel protected or do you become fearful? If you feel protected means you aren't doing anything wrong. If you fear their presence most likely you are speeding. Similarly we fear God if we are not behaving properly.

The need is to bring a semblance of logic, even superstitious logic, to a confusing and seemingly random world. To release ourselves from the responsibility for events we can not control. To provide an outline for living which, when it works, gives comfort and a sense of purpose to what can otherwise be a frightening and lonely experience - life. That faith is largely a response to the needs of the individual can be seen in the enormous variety of expressions that is engendered by a seemingly similar experience of "faith and fear of God".

The fear of the Lord is the first requirement of being wise, and faith in God must be accompanied by belief or faith in Our Lord Jesus Christ to not be thrown into eternal fire, but instead have place for you prepared in heaven: having life eternal.

There is none. God only requires that you treat others with love and respect. Faith, and fear are needed only by religious institutions in order to control the minds and hearts of their followers.

Fear of God is to respect Him. If one believes that He is the Creator than that in itself is the reason to respect God. Faith is trusting in what you cannot see. Faith seems to please God and He blesses those that have this ability.A person could go through their entire life without faith or fear of God, but to me something is missing that gives that person all the benefits of trusting God.

The Bible says that to fear God is the beginning of wisdom and it says that faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. So, in essence, without faith we have no hope and that is a terrible place to be in life. God bless you as you search for the truth!

Are you asking because you really want to know or are you being a smart a**? (I ask because I see who you are) If you really want to know you should just read the Holy Bible. It tells you every thing you need to know. No one can put it straight out there like the Holy Bible. Holy is something that is precious and Godly. I feel for those who don't respect that. They just don't get it. Times wasting!
I feel sorry for atheists, not knowing is bad, but denying God is ...... It is written that it will be presented to every single human on earth. Every one will either deny Him or love Him.
Weather you believe it or not that is the way it is. Imagine living forever in a place with out God, a place where nothing Godly exists, like niceness, beauty, water, peace, comfort, safety, patience, love, greatness, painlessness, lawfulness, freshness, blah blah blah, you get the idea. and so on. I put this on your question because atheists and false god worshipers will make crude comments about God and it infuriates my brain cells.

Faith and fear of God are contradictions created to confuse the Humans and make them believe in God.
