okay this is really stupid. pg 13 movies ae for people age 13 and up. i am 13 but i still can't watch them. i got to watch one movie with my dad that was pg 13 and that is all. i ask if i can watch them and they only let me get pg or g movies that is really stupid. i need to know what i can say to get them to watch pg-13 movies. my friends at school talk about these movies and i want to know what is going on. what can i do?

Well you are a teenager and you could be allowed to watch PG-13 movies, the contents are appropriate for guys your age, however, if your parents say no, its going to be difficult, they can even tell you you're only allowed to watch G movies, or even no movies at all if the choose you. I think the best way to convince them to watch them is if you show them how mature, and responsible you are, show them you are ready! Good Luck!!!

Chill out and watch those PG and G flicks until the 'rents think you can handle it. Sucks for you, but the rating system has really lightened up in the past 10-20 years. Once upon a time, the f-bomb was an automatic R rating, and now you might catch it and a few other not so polite terms in PG-13 movies. Parents who don't think it's appropriate for thier kids to hear that have begun to ban PG-13 movies the way parents of my generation banned R.
Don't worry. You'll get older soon enough.

your parents are looking out for your best intrests, be thankful. PG-13=parental guidence for kids 13 and under, so if your parents feel that the only way you are going to watcha pg-13 movies, is to watch it together, then watch it together, the only other option you have to to not watch movies at all. the more patient you are with your parents, the more mature you will prove to them youare, with more maturity, comes more respect and reponsibility. If they see that you can handle their choices without contest, tehn they will start coming around . But your parents care about what you watch, a lot of parentsdon't you may not appriciate it now, but you will later.

Just ask to go to town for something then buy a PG-13 Movie.

parents will be parents so just deal with it. At any rate youll be an old man before you know it so enjoy your youth
