What are the ranks of the personnel in the army/?

eg. where do corporals, lieutenants, majors etc rank in order of superiority.

Hi Ozi,
Please follow the link given by Richard-B for British Army ranks. All that is missing is the lowest rank - Private - not listed because private soldiers have no rank insignia. I'm recommending this answer because I have YA set for UK & Ireland questions only, therefore I am assuming you are asking about the British Army.

Unfortunately, a lot of Americans seem to have their settings looking at "All English questions" and don't seem to realise that any question submitted in the English language will show up unless they change their settings to "US questions only".
