His answer was not too far off. There is a web site, Angies List, people write in and tell you about good experiences they had with repair men. She, Angie started it because she was not married and sometimes got "taken" by service people. They charge about 5.95 a month to be a member. I have used it a couple of times and also have added some people that did work for me. AND, if you have a problem with one of the people on her site, they act as a mediator to fix the problem.

The Penny saver= big mistake. Why not ask co-workers or family? Do your research. That's your safest bet.

If you were a renter, maybe ask your landlord who was the handy man who always fix things around the community / house for him/her.
