I always swore by frontline for both my dog and cat but get at an online pharmacy rather than the vet because they charge exhorbitant prices.
Alternatively try Johnsons 4fleas tablets they are only £4 for four months supply you give one tablet a month. They work very well.
I work at a dog rescue centre on a voluntary basis and they use this product because its so cheap and seems to be very good. They don't appear to have a flea problem there which is unusual when lots of strays are coming in and out all the time.
you can get 4fleas for dogs and cats from most good pet shops.

Frontline. It's not the cheapest, but it's definitely the best. Once you've killed the fleas on the animal, there won't be any in the house. My vet told me this, as I wanted some stuff for the carpets etc, and he said I'd be wasting my money on those products.

Frontline plus got rid of a terrible flea problem we had. Treat the animal with frontline plus and as far as the house goes, put some flea powder in your vacuum bag and vacuum like crazy. Throw the bag out each and every time. Dont forget the baseboards! They love to hide there.

Frontline is brilliant. I'd recommend the spray. But it is really expensive. You can get it from your vets. It is worth the cost. Otherwise you can get your vet to inject your animal, and if you ever see a flea-you give your pet a tablet. Its easy and they should send you reminders for when it needs doing again. Both are worth their money. And what has a bicycle got to do with anything?
Oh I get it now. Lol. I'm not blonde I swear.

Fleas are a major pest. There are various species of fleas - cat fleas, dog fleas, rat fleas and rabbit fleas.
You can get rid of them by the safest and cheapest methods like boric acid.

The best and safest are those you get from a licensed veterinarian.
Do NOT use OTC flea products. They are ineffective and very unsafe. They contain some very dangerous pesticides. They can cause skin burns, neurological problems, seizures and death.

My cat was scratching herself raw until I tried Advantage for cats. I haven't seen a flea in here since. It doesn't kill the fleas only on the cat, but in your house, too, because it's a nerve agaent for fleas when they jump on her they will die too. It's great!

Supermarket products are not very effective as they are not over the counter at the vets which are stronger and much more effective. I use Frontlineand this works the best for my cats anyway.
