I'm really interested in Wicca and... stuff. But most things in there will turn me into a pagan(I'm Christian and I want to stay that way THANK YOU VERY MUCH!) So I'm planning to start make my own way of magic that uses The Holy Bible as it's basis and God's power and nature's spirits(Yeah, I believe in those) as it's battery(power source). I've asked God for signs if He'll allow me or not but they're not coming O_O What do I do?... Serious Answers plz.

I think I should... It's not for personal gain anyway. The world is in such a mess right now that I think God is getting ticked. I only wanted to help... *sniff*. And by magic I mean Blessings and Goodluck spells, not the "I WILL MAKE YOU FLOAT! RAWR!" kind... I just think!

Wicca is not evil.
It has everything to do with nature.
Satan does not exist.
It is the evil of the free will of the human mind.

While most Christians would take a negative view of magic, there were a number of traditions (especially during the Renaissance, etc.) that merged Christianity with magical traditions. The best things to look for would be things like Ceremonial Magic or the Rosicrucian Order - that should be able to get you enough info to see if that's what you're interested in.

The Bible does not contain power to magic. The premise of magic is that there is a power that you can personally tap in to a mainpulate.

God's power is his power and not for us to manipulate. He chooses how to use his power.

There is nothing wrong with illusions. However, I would not say that the Holy Spirit/Angels/Demons/God/The Bible made a particular illusion possible. Instead perform illusions to teach Biblical truths.

Look,

you either ask God to do something for you, like save a dying loved one, or you ask a sprit of sorts.

You cant have both.

Thats against the concept of worshipping a single God.

As it is, any one of the spirits or angels that work for God, are actually soldiers of God and you shouldnt ask them directly. You should always ask God.

So doing magic or wicca...just translates into: I will try and get the power to do ultra human things.

You cant do that. You have no ultra human powers and you cant get them. People who do it are in grave danger because they are asking spirits to do it for them.

Stay away from such thoughts. Youre merely human. Live with the humbleness and ask no one to do miracles for you but the one who really can: God.

Edit: Ill compare this to asking your boss for something.

If your boss is the only one who can give you a raise, and he usually uses a messenger boy to hand it to you, do you go begging the messenger boy to give you a raise??

THINK!

Jesus said all He did we will do too, and greater things will
we do in His name. Magic is just a word, and many
Christains are full of baloney.
They even accused Christ of being in league with the Devil, and Paul said he had to refrain from using POWER because it hurt his ministry. People criticizing it.
The only words of Power a Christian needs are the
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Anything that doesn't
happen behind that, doesn't need to happen!
And it takes practice. Don't "drop your pants" if it
doesn't work the first time. That's our own doubts
interfering, not God refusing to answer!

If you are willing to do a lot of work, look up the Rosicrucian order, as well as Alchemy. However, depending on how you read the Bible, those may also be bad.

It's very complex, and will keep you away from the scary nasties.

Doing magic, and exploring Wicca is not going to make you a non-christian.

Perhaps some extreme right wing Christians may make you think so.
However, if your goal is to learn more about Wicca, and educate yourself about it, I would consider that more about you learning more about an area of interest.

However, if there are things you learn during your Wicca education, that YOU PERSONALLY feel is going to compromise your faith and your Christianity, it would be at that point that you may want to back off a bit.

There is nothing anti-christian regarding learning about things of interest to you.

best of luck to you!

You need to join an Order. Like OTO or the Golden Dawn. They are based in old Hebrew spirituality.

You might be confusing "magic" (the art of deception of a group of people,) with "Magic" the practice of sorcery. One is possible, and one is not. The devil will never share his power.

Do a Yahoo search under "Christian Magician" and you will see many fine examples of the first.

You should carefully examine your motives as to your beliefs of "nature's spirits" and talk to someone experienced in theology before forming your show.

Blessings.

Magic is mostly based on illusions. There is no real magic but one person trying to deceive or fool another. It is all in how you use it that separates you from the pagans.
Miracles, on the other hand can come from God or Satan. Be careful cause they say if you play with fire you can get burned.
