Are the Horse Mane N Tail products actually damaging in the long run?

My hair is fine thin and has been chemically damaged by the chi permanent straightener. My stylist told me not to use the Horse Mane N Tail shampoo and conditioner but it works better than the Rusk stuff she sold me. Is it damaging my hair further? What should I use?

What you should know is that everyone reacts differently to different things, what works for one might not work for the other, the only way of knowing if something works for you is to try it, you can't tell from some one else experience. What I can however say is that straightening iron and heat appliances are bad for every one.

Mane and Tail works great on damaged hair. Don't let your stylist sell you all that crap in the salon. Over the counter works just as well. In fact I have fine hair and have found that just plain ol' Pantene works better than anything on my hair. I'm 40 yrs old and just now have healthy hair because I finally figured this out. I tried everything salons threw at me, the products they sell are over-rated.

Im not stylist but Ill tell you what my stepmom used to tell me . This is actually used on horses and it makes their hair soft then it cant hurt a humans hair. sometimes stylist want your money
