Well, first of all, according to National Weather Service, the current weather patterns have very little to do with "global warming" and everything to do with El Nino.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - The current El Nino weather anomaly that can create atmospheric havoc around the world should continue into the spring, extending unseasonably warm North American temperatures through March, the U.S. National Weather Service predicted on Thursday.

The El Nino phenomenon, which warms sea surface temperatures in the Pacific Ocean and can disrupt weather patterns across the Western Hemisphere to the west coast of Africa, can cause flooding as well as drought but is said to have had a role in 2006's mild hurricane season.

What if... El Niño was caused by global warming?

I really don't know, I just thought that would be an interesting thing. It has been snowing in Utah for the past... 2 days and it sucks because I have to drive 20 miles to work and the traffic is always crappy.
