I love my slow cooker!! It's great for busy days and lazy days too! Here are some recipes I have used from the cookbooks I have. I hope you try some of them and enjoy!!
P.S. The chicken chili is REALLY good...I have made it twice in the last 2 week it's so good.
Honey Dijon Chicken
8 (4 oz.) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 cups fat-free honey-dijon salad dressing
Spray slow cooker with cooking spray
Put chicken in slow cooker and cover with dressing
Cover and cook on high 3-4 hours or on low 6-8 hours
---
Favorite Barbecue Chicken
4 to 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 bottle (16 oz.) barbecue sauce
Put chicken into greased slow cooker. Pour bbq sauce over chicken. Cover and cook on high heat 4-6 hours or on low 8-10 hours. I shred mine 1 hour before serving and have shredded chicken sandwiches. To shred it you use 2 forks and pull the chicken apart...it's really tender and it practically falls apart for you.
---
Chicken Chili
1 (48 oz.) jar deluxe Great Northern beans
1 (4 oz.) can diced green chilies
2 (10 oz.) cans chicken breast, NOT drained
1/2 cup frozen chopped onion (or raw diced)
1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 cup chicken broth
Sour cream
Spray slow cooker with cooking spray
In the cooker add beans, chilies, chicken, onion, chili powder, and broth. Mix well.
Cover and cook on high 3-4 hours -OR- low for 6-9 hours
Stir 1 Tbsp. sour cream into each 1 cup serving
Yield : 9 Servings 1 cup each
---
Mild Chili-Cheese Dip
2 cans (15 oz. each) chili, with or without beans
1 pound mild Velveeta cheese, cubed
Combine all ingredients in greased slow cooker and cover. Cook on low 1 ½ - 3 hours, stirring every 30 minutes, until cheese is melted.
Serve with tortilla chips, veggies, or as a topper for fries or hot dogs.
---
Broccoli-Cheese Soup
2 packages (16 oz. each) frozen chopped broccoli
2 cans (10 ¾ oz. each) cheddar cheese soup, condensed
2 cans (12 oz. each) evaporated milk
¼ cup dried minced onion
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
Combine all ingredients in greased slow cooker. Cover and cook on high heat 2-3 hours or on low heat 4-5 hours.
Spoon over baked potato or simply serve and eat.
---
Cola Roast
3 pound beef roast
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
2 cans (12 oz. each) cola*
Place roast in greased slow cooker. Sprinkle with soup mix. Pour soda all over. Cover and cook on low heat 7-8 hours.
*Diet soda CANNOT be substituted
---
Mama’s Italian Chicken
4 frozen chicken breast halves
1 envelope Italian salad dressing mix
1 can (14 oz.) chicken broth
Place chicken in greased slow cooker. Sprinkle with dressing mix. Pour broth on top. Cover and cook on high heat 4-5 hours or on low heat 8-10 hours.
---
Creamy Chicken Soft Tacos
4 frozen boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 jar (16 oz.) salsa
1 cup sour cream
6-8 flour tortillas
Place chicken in greased slow cooker. Pour salsa on top. Cover and cook on high heat 6-8 hours or on low 10-12 hours. Shred chicken by pulling apart with 2 forks. During last hour of cooking stir in sour cream.
Put chicken in tortillas with your favorite taco/burrito toppings.
(My husband and I LOVE this recipe…we have found that we needed more like 10 tortilla shells as this made A LOT of chicken…we used black beans, extra sour cream, lettuce and shredded cheese as our toppings…we made burritos instead of tacos…this is SUPER easy to make and it tastes SO good!!)
---
Sweet and Sour Pork
1 pound pork tenderloin, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 can (20 oz.) pineapple chunks, drained
1 cup sweet and sour sauce
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
Place all ingredients in the order listed above in greased slow cooker. Cover and cook on low heat 4-6 hours.
Serve over hot cooked rice.

They have all kinds of recipes for slow cookers on the web. Is your slow cooker new? There might have been a recipe book with it. I have a crock pot at work and cook beans and lentils in it almost every day, and sometimes I have some leftover. Or some kinds of soup. They can get pretty hot andcook any kind of meat.

Im with stevie g on this one, definitely a beef roast of some sort at a low to medium setting with the potatoes and carrots, after cooking for about 5-6 hrs its time to get ur grub on, the meat falls apart (no knives needed) and just kinda melts in ya mout like BUTTA!!!
p.s. and don't forget to make some gravy from the "jus" in the slow cooker and a cornstarch/water mixture

It's really easy. There are SO many cookbooks out there made just for slow cookers. Sometimes it might come with a small recipe book as well. And obviously you can find tons on the internet. Stews are most common, chicken and dumplings, pot roast. . Lots of delicious things, and take almost no work.

Roast beef cooks nicely in a slow cooker. I put a roast (any kind--sirloin tip or chuck) and pour soy sauce and shake a little pepper on it. cooks all day and is tender.
I also make Italian beef. put roast in cooker, add dried onion soup packet (just sprinkle it on dry) , about 5 shakes of cayenne pepper, few shakes of oregano, and basil , one clove pressed or finely minced garlic, 1/4 cup water, 1/4 cup dry white wine, and let cook all day.
You can slice it or shred it and put on rolls as sandwiches.

stews, cassaroles, apricot chicken. The longer and slow you cook it, the better it is. You can cook anything in a slow cooker providing it has water (fluids) in the cooker

Get an inexpensive pork roast about 3 lbs, slice onion put in crockpot, add the roast, add some liquid smoke, cook on low 10-12 hours. When finished drain and take the bone out, shred meat, add your favorite barbecue sauce and serve.
