Make sure you get some help to make sure everything is right before you file, especially if you don't know that much about taxes. Try the irs site for links to volunteers.

In the United States, filing an individual tax return has never been easier. If your gross income (everything, before taxes) was less than $52,000 then you can "free file" directly on the IRS Web site. If you made more than that, then you will need to pay a software company (like TurboTax or H&R Block, etc) a small fee to handle the submission.
If you are over the $52,000 level, then I recommend going out and buying a software package that will walk you through the process. It is simple and the system handles everything. Once you've prepared your taxes, you cna either pay them a small fee to submit the paperwork electronically or you can print the documents out and mail them in. Either way, the software will make sure you get all the deductions you can and that you fill everything in correctly.
Best of luck!

The have books at Barnes and Nobles that will instruct you on how to file your own returns. I'm personally too lazy to think that hard, and I would rather have someone else file it for me. lol

Turbo Tax.....walks you through everything......very easy if you do not have a lot of duductions (or if you know even minimally about taxes and do have a lot of deductions)!
or get an accountant.
