WeddingChannel.com has a fantastic site. You can set up your own wedding website for family & friends to visit, and they have lots of excellent resources, including a checklist done by the time period things should be done by. They also have a guest list manager, which I've found to be incredibly helpful and links to everything you could possibly need.
For purchasing things you'll need, I liked ExclusivelyWeddings.com. I got my invitations there, and they're beautiful.
Congratulations.

There are two forums I loved being a member of back when I was planning, it's
weddingannouncer.com
brides2wives.com
Both places have a ton of really helpful girls, all planning or have planned their weddings.
On weddingannouncer you also have the opportunity to set up a free wedding website if you want to.

theknot.com is the best site i've found. it allows you to keep track of everything from the guest list to the budget. and you can also search many galleries for ideas for dresses, cakes, favors, etc. and there is tons of helpful advice on etiquette. you can also create a webpage and have guests rsvp that way. hope this helps.
