Yes, I totally believe ALL of God's word.
God created the world in 6 days and on the 7th he rested or finished and observed it all and it was good.
Of course GOD'S inspired word is infallable!
Man wrote in by the inspiration of God but GOD is the AUTHOR!
And God's word will never pass away.

First it is VERY clear that in Genesis 1 it is talking about 7 24 hour period days. If you know how to read you will see this.
However it is told in a 7 day format not to tell you how it happened but to reveal to you who God is.
The Bible was written in a particular culture. If you were to take a survey of all the people liviing in the Ancient Near East during the time the book of Genesis the overwhelming majority would say that it took 7 days to create the world. There were numerous creation accounts in other religions and all said that it took 7 days.
God revealed himself in the creation account to show that HE is the Creator. And that mankind was made with a purpose and not a mistake. (like other religions). God wanted to show that he ruled over chaos.
So YES the Bible does say that creation took a literal 7 24 hour days. I do not believe though that is exactly how it happened.
The Bible is not a police report. It does not exsist to tell us exactly how and when every detail happened. The Bible is not a science book. The Bible's job is not to tell us HOW the world was created.
All Biblical History has three components exsisting at one time. History, Theology, and Asethetics. All three of this componets influence each other.
So in creation there is history....meaning that God created/ there was a beginning.....there is THEOLOGY....God as King of the Universe....and Asethetics....the 7 day layout is very culturally relevant and in the 6 days of creation he spent 3 days creating and 3 days filling that creation. Very nicely laid out!

The creation story goes like this. The heavens and the earth were created at the beginning, could be billions of years (Gen 1:1)
Then the earth became formless and void (Gen 1:2). Something happened between Gen 1:1 and Gen 1:2 to make the earth formless and void which means if there were any living beings, like dinosaurs, they were all destroyed during this period. Beginning from Gen 1:3 there was restoration of non-living things and the creation of man and all other living things and these took six days.

You answered your own question and your answer is right. Biblical research is more sophisticated now than it was 50 years ago. The Bible is subject to reinterpretation. The story of creation is a good example. Chapters 1-11 of the book of Genesis was discovered as a Near Eastern myth picked up by Jewish writers after the exile. Another example is the book of Job. For many centuries people thought it was a true story. Biblical research has proven that Job is a fictional character and the story itself is fictional. It is meant as a teaching on suffering.

Yes, I believe in a literal 7 day creation.
Just be aware that Genesis 1, defines a 'day and night' differently than 24 hours. The sun, moon, and stars were created on day 4, not day 1.

Not at all. That a day can be longer than 24 hours is indicated by Genesis 2:4,which speaks of all the creative periods as one 'day'.Also indicative of this is Peters inspired observation that "one day is with Jehovah as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day"(2Peter3:8)
Also it is worthy to note that after the end of each creative period or "day"is the statement "And there came to be evening and there came to be morning..."and in the case of the sixth day, "a sixth day"(Gen.1:31).
However, this statement is not made regarding the seventh day,on which God proceeded to rest, indicating that it continued(Gen.2:1-3)Also,more than 4000 years after the seventh day or God's rest day, commenced,Paul indicated that it was still in progress. At Hebrews 4:1-11,he referred to the earlier words of David(Ps95:7,8,11)and to Genesis 2:2.

This is going to be hard for me to explain. But here we go....
We are humans. Are human minds can only grasp things in our area. We think a minute is 60 seconds. We think a year is 365 days. ect. In heaven, or even in hell, time may be preseved as something diffrent. Time may not even exist. Up may be down. Down may be left. So when the bible states, the earth was created in seven days, it may have took 7 seconds, or 7 years, or even 7 billion years. It also may refer to an extension of his power. Example it may have took 7 motions, or 7 words. Just a thought.

I think there was a HUGE gap between the first creation (earth and heaven) and the rest to follow maybe with some more gaps.
And there could be a vast difference of origin between Man and woman too (Eve came later). No wonder we joke, men are primitive creatures and women are sophisticated ahd hard for men to understand,if you believe in evolution :))

Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Doesn't say how long ago or how long it took.

The bible talks about days but God's time is different than Earth's time. Look at different planets.....their days are different than a day on Earth. Just because it says one day does not mean that it was a 24 hour period.
