I am not "across the pond," I am in Ohio, and I believe lox is a type of smoked salmon.

You can find lox in the dairy section most of the time (by the cream cheese, etc.). It is also sometimes by the fish counter.

Normally in Seafood section, occasionally in the Deli section.

It really depends on the specific store. I would try the deli section first and if not there, the seafood dept.

yeah, deli then meat/seafood.

in the deli they should have it with gourmet cheeses and spreads and stuff.

theres also a salmon flavored philly cream cheese-if you havent tried it and like cream cheese

Where the fresh fish is,if not just ask a clerk in the store.
