Miracles - true miracles - happen all the time when we have faith enough to accept them for what they are.
Does this need further explanation?
I think not!
However, I have been at the receiving end of many miracles. These are personal, however there are some people who perceive mirales to be mere coincidence. I can assure you they are not. Don't look for a flash of light to announce a miracle - I once sang at a major event whilst suffering bronchitis; I couldn't speak a word either before or after the event until the course of antibiotics was completed, but I was able to sing without ill effect.
OK it WAS a Church event, and the singing was with a choir at the dedication ceremony of the LDS Preston temple in England.
There have also been occasions where funds have been low, yet we managed, and even found cash to feed ourselves.
Prayer often preceeds a miracle - there was an occasion when I drove 40 miles to work with my car making the most obscene noise. As I pulled into the carpark, a colleague informed me of the state of my exhaust pipe. I then drove 9 miles to a garage, and it was only when the car was on the ramp that the entire pipe fell off; a miracle indeed, especially as I had prayed for the car to safely get me to a garage.
Miracles do happen, when we least expect then, and often when we don't rally deserve them.

The last time I witnessed a miracle, I was drinking lots of wine, having a good time at a friend's house. Late in the evening, i switched to whisky, and drank half a bottle. When I got home by taxi, I was completely bullet proof, but I had the presence of mind to take a large glass of water before going to bed, and woke up CLEAR AS A BELL, feeling great, and able to do my morning run. And the miracle is: the human mind.
Now, miracles of the bibilcal and quranic kind are nonsense, fictions, figments to keep peasants happy.

I believe a miracle is something which happens outside of nature, or the suspension of nature. At Fatima in Portugal there was supposed to have been a miracle of the sun. It was seen by many to rotate in the sky, then apparently come towards them and then retreat. If it was an illusion then that was the way it was meant to be seen, as the sun would burn up the earth if it did that.

Every day is a miracle. When you wake in the early morning, go stand outside and smell the air, look at the life outside, listen to the nature that God has created just for us. The fact that you have sinned and God has forgiven you is another miracle. If you have a child, look at the tiny hand, the body and the smiles, all are miracles. The fact that on 911 we lost 1/2 of the people we would of lost if it was 912. More people called in sick that day than any other day recorded.

A miracle is a supernaturel thing that no man can do only if God help in doing it.
At the time of Noah, the disbeliever mocked him , and he asked God that if he let these people live on the earth, only mischeef and evil doings and disbelieve will occure. at that time God answered the call of Noah and the first great miracle>> God saved Noah and his people on the commands of God.
At the time of Moses, magic era and sorcellery, he prove that he is a prophet when he id miracles by the help of God, and transform the stick into sneak that eat all the magic things of the other magicians. then he opened the sea to save people of israel from pharoe. he id other miracles also. < but can we say that he is God? >> no >
At the time of Jesus, medecine era, he came and cured the leper, the blind, many diseases than no one can cure, even death, he erraseed the dead
At the time of Lot, gay people and evil doings, God destroyed them in making the earth turn on them upside down.
From those examples we understand that God is in control of these miracles.
But we didn't see any of these miracles, how about Us?
the answer is >>>>>> From the wisdom of God, the people of the prophet Muhammad, eloquance and poetry era, God sent the Quran to be our persistant miracle, eternal miracle, for every era.
the prove:
1-the Quran was in arabic, still in the same language.
2-the Quran is in one version, still the same more than 1400years.
3-the Quran still untouched, no addition , no deletion.
4- the Quran is complete no part missing, or just discovered in the ruines.
5-God chllenge mankind and devilkind to help each other and bring a chapter like it. yet, nobody could do that
6-the Quran is recited from the time of the prophet, so even if they try to change the words, they can't why? because in the Quran a verse says < God will protect it this time until the end of time>
7- all other books are altered, confusing, addition and deletion in it, are just translations sometimes.
8- the author is God. there is no other people like paul, jhon......
9- the prophet was illetrate, even him didn't right it, it was recited to them during 23 years of time. and the prophet told his companions where every verse corresponding to its chapter. no human being can do this. specially the verses came with the circonstances and happenings of that period of time. also the prophet was 40 when the revelation came to him from God through the angel gabriel who taught him the words of God .
the prophet died at 63.
10- the Quran is talking about the people of old, the stories of the prophets, the day of judgment, paradise and hell......
11- the Quran is the same in any mosque in the world, in China, America, Australia, africa.....with translations in different languages.
and many other things
the door is wide open to check and see the miracle by yourself.

Go back to Saint Francis for some good ol fashioned miracles. I saw the image of the Virgin Mary in this ladies shower on TV.
Seemed more the work of a lazy slob, than of God.

What do you mean what is a miracle? There are miracles that happen all around us every day. God is in charge and he can/will/does make things happen. What are you praying for? Protection, Guidance, Help? I pray for these kinds of things every morning before I leave the house and start my day. For example: "It was a miracle that the red truck didn't hit me yesterday" or "It was a miracle that my daughter's fever broke" or "It was a miracle that my husband got a better job."
The "catch" is expressing thanks to the Lord the blessings in our lives!

Miracle is anything that you find astonishing and is seemingly either impossible or very difficult to do or perform. You can see its examples even today. Just see programs like Believe it or not! or read the newspapers to see some shocking examples of such occurences all over the world!
