If your a good person at heart ...
Dose it really matter what you believe.. ?
Since when do you HAVE to be christian...
My question is..
What happens to all the Christians that act badly.. Do they just say sorry after they kill or lame a few people and get the glory of the afterlife.
.
And all the good people who aren't Christians. But lead good and just lives.. they get sent to your so called hell.
Stop the Judgemental ways. now..
It really is small minded of you.

How would I know it was him? If I heard a disembodied voice, I'd see a psychiatrist. If everyone heard the same disembodied voice, I would try and find out if someone had orchestrated some massive hoax or if there was some other reason behind the phenomenon (which is almost 100% certain) before I would get down on my knees and pray.
Repent? What do I have to repent for? I haven't done anything wrong.

If Jesus came back to life and came down from heaven, yes, I'd believe.
You seem to think that atheists are being stubborn in not believing, but then you belie that by having to talk about untrue hypotheticals to come up with a situation in which it would be reasonable to believe. Since Jesus is not here - he's long dead - it's not reasonable to believe that he is still alive. You can't have it both ways.

I would of course be skeptical. It would take a lot to convince me that the Christian mythology is correct.
Someone calling himself Jesus, proclaiming himself to be the son of God returning from Heaven would to me seem like any other weirdo making extravagant claims. And if he made it apparent that he holds some great powers, it would still seem far-fetched to me that I am to repent my sins, one of which would be not believing in him (really, that's just ridiculous). I think I'd be very much inclined to view such a deity as a supernatural bully, trying to force me to submit to him.

I think you have a big misconception. It sounds as if you think atheists choose that philosophy because they are stubborn or just want to make people angry. Most of the atheists I know are fine people who have done some serious spiritual searching into matters of faith, and came out feeling that they weren't convinced. They feel that the "facts" as they have been presented are not enough to warrant belief. Most atheists I know are quite open-minded, and are willing to consider new facts as they come along.
So in answer to your question, I think that if Jesus made himself known (just following your lead about not capitalizing "himself"), and presented himself in all his glory, most atheists would come around. But he would have to be VERY convincing.

Jesus did say He will come like a theif in the night! He also said that men would still be doing whatever they do when he does come. Non-beleivers will still be non-believers on that day probably! We as Christians should pray that they repent and are saved before that day!

An Atheist would not recognize Jesus. I do not believe they would take this seriously...all the more reason to pray for hearts to prepare.

First of all I'd probably think it was some nut and ignore him. Second, I'd go along like I've been doing all along without my belief in a god of any sort. I'm happy not having a religion, and I enjoy thinking for myself and having my own set of morals. Good luck to you christians though.

That's a rhetorical question.
And like all such questions, it proceeds from a false assumption; in this case, that jesus or god are real.
They aren't. They are both fictional characters in an outdated book of bronze age jewish mythology.
Nothing more.
