I think my husband is smoking meth again. He said he only did it for a few weeks, but I don't think he had quit. I need to pop a drug test on him. I need it to be accurate and I also need to be able to test him several times. I need some recomendations. Thanks!

call your pharmacist and ask if they carry a drug test kit that tests for meth.they should have them at walmart as well.it only stays in your system 3 days!!!.you can usually tell by ones behavior from past experiences,go with your instinct.

Meth can stay in your system for 2 weeks. Don't believe the myth that it's only 3 days (that is cocaine). I don't know how to do a pop drug test on your husband, but you should be able to recognize the symptoms. Sweating profusely, talking a lot or really fast, not eating, picking at the skin, severe mood swings, depression, weight loss, etc. If he is exhibiting these symptoms he is probably using and should go to rehab.

You may can order one or get from a pharmacy but your doctor won't do a drug test on an adult without that adult signing for it to be done......its against the law....and if your husb did take it the results couldn't be given to you even if you are his wife...HIPAA regulations won't let them tell you unless your husb signs the paper stating you can get information on his health records.
First off perhaps you should sit down and talk to your husband about what you think, ask if he would take one...do this during the week when your doctors office is open, if he agrees to take the test then go then....not wait 2 weeks or whenever he says, but right then, also, you need to decide and tell your husband if you can live with someone abusing drugs.
Tell him that is not in your life's plan to bring up children in a home of an abuser, that marriage takes work of both sides and one abusing drugs is not the way to solve future problems.
I grew up in a house of alcoholics and I also learned from them that I would never raise my children when I had any that they would never go thru what I went thru as a child growing up.
I will socially drink on 3 week vacation overseas thats it..am just not going to live with one that I come home from working all day and find them drunk or stoned out.

From personal experience, they don't only do it for a few weeks. I was engaged to a guy. He started acting really weird, doing things out of charactor. Found out he was on meth for like 6 months. He told me he'd stop, so I trusted him. Well, it worked for a while but he went back to them. I went away for a weekend to my moms, asked my sister to help me move my stuff out and on Sunday, returned and moved out while he was out. He came home half way through and tried to make me stop, but I left anyway.

Good luck!

This is tricky. Do you risk losing his love by doubting his word? May be a private doctor will give the test. What if he is still using are you ready to leave? Think of what your plan is before you confront him?
