Go to the start menu and click on "Run...".

Type "Command" (without the quotes) and press enter. THis will open the command line (looks like DOS)

enter the following:

convert drive_letter: /fs:ntfs

where driver_letter is the letter of the drive you wish to convert. For example if you wanted to convert your C:\ drive:

convert C: /fs:ntfs

When it asks, reply that you want the conversion to take place at the next reboot.

Reboot.

Start > Run, type cmd, hit enter

At the prompt type vol C: (you will need that for the next step)

Then type convert C: /FS:NTFS it will ask you if you want to force dismount the drive and proceed (since the drive is in use) or perform the conversion at next boot, it's safer to do this at next boot so select that option. Reboot and let Windows convert the drive. C: is the drive letter of your primary partition, if yours is something different, use that letter instead.

Note, once you have formatted it as NTFS you can't go back to FAT32.
