ok it's 30' across on bottom slope from left corner to peak is 18' and slope from right to peak is16.5'??

1/2 base times height (height perpendicular middle of base to height of triangle)

Divide the triangle into two triangular sections so each has 90 degree angle. My suggestion is divide it down the middle where the top peak is.

Now use trig to find new base or height of each triangle. And simply apply the b*h/2 formula to both triangles and add them together.

Um....base by height by one-half...

Take the side that's on the bottom, measure it, and multiply it by the length of the top, and multiply by one half. The concept is that a triangle is half a rectangle, cut diagonally.
