There is a third option that you haven't listed.
3) An afterlife of your own creation.
I'd chose this as it accurately reflects the reality we live in now, given that we are the creators of reality.

I'd rather be able to live forever in afterlife with my fiance rather than god. But if I can't do that then I'd prefer the second choice. An eternity is worth nothing if you can't be with the person you love.
