Obviously you have not given any thought to this at all.
Firstly, come clean and tell them. It's your responsibility and believe me they will want to know that you at least made the effort and, although they may not welcome you with open arms they will eventually thank you for coming clean. To some people the loss of a family pet is a harrowing enough experience without it simply disappearing. THEY WANT TO KNOW - they need to know, the clue is in the posters and the reward.
Secondly, and you will feel better for telling them.
Lastly, apart from anything else "chucking the cat into a bush" is not environmentally friendly and can easily spread disease.
Do the right thing - Own up.

You have a moral dilemma. The quickest way out would have been to tell them when it happened. I was just an accident. No matter what you do it is going to be emotionally hurtful to both you and the neighbor. You can tell them now and explain you did not mean to run over the cat and you were upset and wanted to distance your self from it by not dealing with it. You can live with it and hope no one saw you. If no trail leads back to you and you won't be responsible for you actions, learn from it and be responsible for your actions the next time. Most next times say " I will do it the next time", so next time rarely comes. You feel bad or else you would not have written this question. You know the consequences better than anyone. Doing what you feel is right doesn't meant the neighbors won't slam the hammer down harder than it needs to be.

It is best to be honest....Most people would thank you for at least owning up, some people just hit and run, it shows you have respect and that you care. Cats can skip out onto the road without looking and it's not always your fault.
If you cannot bare telling them in person put the cat near the drive way (not on it in the way of cars) and put a note in their letterbox saying the cat was hit.

our two cats were run over over the period of 2 years. The first one we never found and the second one we got a knock on the door and the lady told us and we were able to bury our cat. Out of the two it is easier to come to terms with the 2nd cat because we had closure rather than the 1st one we know he was hit but he ran off and we don't know what happened to him. If I were you I would tell them so that they can have closure. I wouldnt be asking them for a reward though as your the one that killed the cat!!!

That is awful...how could you just dump the poor kitty in the bushes. Shame on you! You should leave the cat where they can find it. It is terrible not knowing where the cat is or what happened.
If it was an accident then why did you throw the cat in the bushes, the right thing to do was to tell the owners right away.

Dawacky L has a good point there.......
GET THE CAT......put it in a box, with a note, saying the cat was runover by accident. That your sorry for them and the cat. You dont have to sign your name.
But at least this will let them go on with thier lives and they can grieve the cat.

Fish it out of the bush, cook it in a curry to get rid of any nasty tastes, then invite them round for dinner. That way they'll have got their cat back, you'll be off the suspect list cos you're such a nice person, and they'll probably bring a nice bottle of wine and some after dinner mints, so you'll have been rewarded for your trouble.

you shouldnt ave dont what you did. obviously if this is the next door neighbours cat you recognised it from when you ran it over so you were in the wrong to get rid of the dead cat instead of telling the neighbour.
by the sounds of it they really miss that cat. you should tell them what you have done. they might take action against you(not sure what the consiquences are but i know there is) but you deserve everything for moving the cat and not telling anyone.
dont try get money for the cat thats sick!!! tell them bacause it is sick of you not to.

As you did not tell them as soon as you had ran over the cat, I would say now best to leave it and not say anything. Unless of course they have idea that it was you then would be best to come clean.
