I clean mine with liquid soap and warm water for both the real hair brushes and the synthetic fiber brushes. Wet the brush put a small amount of soap in the palm of your hand about no bigger then the size of a quarter. And simply wash the brush rinse til the water runs clear and lay flat to dry.Do not pull on the bristles

with Dawn liquid dish detergent. that is what they clean animals with when they are in an oil spill. It removes oils and bacteria. our blush brushes are expensive and need cleaning once a week. also air dry them after washing, leave them on a window sill with a fan blowing, it takes a few hours, but they stay fluffy and reusable. Just pour about a cap full in warm water in a glass cup with about 16 ounces of water, mix up the soap around, let the brushes sit in water about five minutes to float out the dirt and debree, then gently rub and repeat if it is still oily. good luck
