Can a man have a low sex drive? My bf went from 60 to 0 in no time flat and blames it on a low sex drive. we used to have sex constantly and I used to not be able to keep him off me. This was just a couple of months ago. Now he doesn't want it hardly at all, or he can't finish when we do have sex. We might have sex now once or twice a month. I have not gained weight or changed physically at all, and our relationship as far as I know is good. In fact, we just got engaged. But I'm terribly concerned about this sex issue. I'm not a nympho by any means, but I do very much enjoy it. I'm trying really hard not to put pressure on him, as I know that might make things worse, but I also in the back of my mind wonder if he's getting it elsewhere. He claims it's just a low sex drive and it's not my problem, but I tell him it is my problem, in fact it's our problem. Any suggestions or ideas as to what could cause this?

Yes a guy can have a low sex drive especially if the woman nags complains whines throws temper tantrums a lot or if she b*tches at him constantly.I'm not saying you are doing t his Maybe he's under a lot of stress from work or some thing. I think you should have a talk with him to find out whats bothering him. Sex is not that important in a relationship. Communication and trust are.

my girlfriend feels the same as you at times .She is a nympho however. And I must truly say.I simply get worn out. Dont get me wrong here. In the 10 months we have been together.I have been able to maintain at min 5x a week status.Getting the much needed break.During that time of month when bad attitudes develope. We both joke about her living someone where else during that time,,,but like I said joke.
What most women dont relise is men really only want it all the time. When they are not getting any or hardly at all.THIS DOES NOT MEAN GET FRIGID AND STOP HAVING SEX NO NO NO....What this means and forgive me for saying so.Men do most of the work. And thats gets old in a hurry.I have often thought about what it would be like .No pressure to perform on demand,to basicly just lay there and take it . Must be nice.I love sex more than you could ever understand not knowing me personaly. But it is also hard work.
Does he smoke? Does he use coke or meth? How old is he? I would feel safe in saying .We dont usally stray unless we are not getting what we need. But a little help on your part could make a world of difference.Get creative or at least do something different.Same thing same place ...boring. Make the first move.Meet him outside the bathroom door.As he leaves the shower....on your knees wearing a smile... you know spice it up a little bit. Yes men are like microwaves and women crock pots. But men too . need to be turned on again sometimes. I have a feeling you know exactly what to do.
If that doesnt re-light some fire.Your problems are much more serious...goodluck E

Men can certainly have a low sex drive. But in your case it's more the change than the amount. I mean, if he had not wanted it from the beginning, you wouldn't be asking the question.

Did something change outside of your relationship? Stress at his job or with his family? Has he been sick? Visited a doctor? Low testosterone could be a sign of something more serious.

Keep trying to talk with him about it, and reinforce that it is an "our" problem, like you said. If he still won't share it with you, I hate to say it but I would put the wedding plans on hold. Something has shifted and until you figure out what it is and how to deal with it, marriage is the last thing you should do.

Good luck.

Has he began taking any new medications such as Zoloft? Has his job (assuming he has one) become more stressful? Before you acuse him of cheating, there are other signs. If that is the only thing, then it could just be that the newness has worn off and he has fallen into a routine rut. You say you just got engaged, it could be that he no longer feels the need to impress you and therefore sex isn't as important. If he can't finish, then he may also be having physical problems. Don't complain to him, my guess would be that if he is trying and cant perform, he is embarrassed and complaining would make him feel worse than he already does. Have some patience and understanding.

His Ego has not been satisfied and that means trouble in paradise.

Let me explain something to you about the male Ego.

When a Man has a sex drive on a Woman he will drive it as far as he can to satisfy his Ego or pehaps get his Ego hurt when he cannot drive it to his satification because the fat LAdy doesn;t sing......his partner or his mate or lover is too much for him to break the ice and when that happens...its over.

He will eventually find someone who will make him MACHO MAN

Yes. However if that man is worried about it, he should visit his physician or take a spoonful of nutmeg...
