Your probably getting tired of me posting this question, but I need to know. I excessively worry about commiting the sin of Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. I've heard from people that if you are worried that you have commited It, then you haven't commited It. I was wondering does that also mean that you won't commit It in the future (if the Lord permits), like on accident?

Just don't put yourself at or above God and you won't be committing blasphemy.

I don't think that an unforgivable sin against the Holy Spirit can be committed during a fit of anger or a slip of the tongue. Yes, uttering a blasphemy is a sin, but can likely be forgiven.

I understand the Unforgivable Sin Against the Holy Spirit to be one that a person consciously and deliberately works on during his entire life to destroy the faith of others.

There are some very sane but very evil people who make it their life's work to undermine the faith of others. It would be a constant and projected undertaking. Some of these folks may even be Christian.

I wouldn't dare to judge Dale Brown...a Christian... (The Da Vinci Code")...but a contrived work of fiction such as this, which is designed to deliberately cast doubts and suspicion into the mission of Jesus Christ and His church...and his allowing it to be assumed by many to be factual...and letting it influence millions of unsuspecting people...in my opinion, is a current example of a flagrant sin against the Holy Spirit.

Hello Daniel. Blasphemy basically means injurious, defamatory, or abusive speech and was used to describe such speech whether it was directed against God or against humans. The apostle Paul showed the basic meaning of the Greek word by using the related Greek verb at Romans 2:24 when quoting from Isaiah 52:5 and Ezekiel 36:20, 21. Blasphemy includes the act of claiming the attributes or prerogatives of God, or ascribing these attributes to someone or something else. (Compare Acts 12:21, 22.) Blasphemy starts in one’s heart (Matthew 15:19); thus a correlation between one’s heart condition (which is obvious in the willfulness of Judas, for example) and blasphemy against the spirit can be seen. The event that led to Jesus’ statement that such a sin is unforgivable shows that it refers to opposing the operation of God’s spirit.

It would not occur by accident, Daniel C, nor would it be because of deception, human weakness, or imperfection. No, such opposition would be willful and deliberate. The Pharisees clearly saw God’s spirit at work in Jesus to do good, but for purely selfish reasons they said this power came from Satan, thereby blaspheming God’s holy spirit.—Matthew 12:22-32; compare Hebrews 6:4-6; 10:26, 27.

Therefore, a way to ensure that one does not sin against the Holy Spirit would be to take in accurate knowledge so that one can be able to recognize the working of Holy Spirit which, in turn, better equips one to abstain from opposing it. (See John 17:3). This accurate knowledge would also help one to create in himself a pure and steadfast heart (Psalm 51:10). Such a heart would in time develop the love and appreciation for God that enables one to abstain from the selfish and destructive attitudes which lead to blasphemy against the Holy Spirit in the first place.

Daniel blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is to say and believe that he does not exist. If you know he does then you will never commit that sin.

When you blaspheme about the Holy spirit before realizing that it is really an unforgivable sin. then repent and ask to the father for forgiveness. Now that you know that blasphemy of the Holy spirit is an unforgivable sin then never do it again. God is so good He forgive us many time until the time we realize what is wrong and righteaous to do.

Jesus loves you!!!!

I would think keeping this scripture in check would help.

John 14:6

Those that speak against God commit blasphemy more so than those who love the Lord. Anyone who puts themselves above God, chooses to make themselves appear bigger than God, pose themselves as a false prophet, claims to have the power to explain God away, or make excuses for sin is committing blasphemy.

Daniel; the first thing to know is; who is the Holy Ghost?
i see you also use the word Holy Spirit, but it is in fact Ghost. the new bibles all say Spirit, but there is actually a big difference in saying spirit or Ghost although Ghost is also a spirit, but a spirit of the dead. the Holy Ghost is the spirit of the visible things including your spirit because you are visible, or you can say the spirit of all visible objects. at this moment all visible things are still dead waiting to receive life, like the earth for instance.
the visible things are represented by Satan and the invisible things by Christ. if you really want to understand this, read and follow my blog.

You can't do it by accident.

And the sin you mention likely won't be able to be accomplished until the time of the end, when the beast and the false prophet emerge, and God withdraws his grace from the world, and even then only under specific conditions, which would be unlikely for the average person to experience.

Don't sweat it.

None of are perfect. We are all sinners. We all committ sins. When we are Christians and even those who are not are given choices in life. We decide what road we will take when we are given choices. It is up to us to take the right road.

You know in your heart what is right and what is wrong. When we are born again believers, you want to do what is right for the lord more than anything. We still are not perfect and we are not going to be perfect. We are still going to make mistakes. We have to admit our mistakes ask forgiveness and go on. We are given chances to make up for our mistakes and do better. We are given chances to help others. Once you believe, you will never be cast away. Here is a website where I found something that might help you: http://www.answers.org/bible/blasphemy.html
To me it says that if you do, it is an unforgiveable sin, but whoever comes to God, he will never draw away. The bible says we will have to answer to our sins, but he forgives us for our sins. Don't worry about what you think you might do, focus on what you want to do with your life and for him. When you constantly worry, you lose out on what is happening now.
Anxiety and worry - overcome by trust in God, Luke 12:22 - 34 subdued through prayer, Phillippians 4:4 - 9

I think that blasphemy of the Holy Spirit was just what it says in the text of Mark 3:28-29: "I tell you the truth, all the sins and blasphemies of men will be forgiven them. But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin." Jesus said this in response to the Pharisees, who had called the Holy Spirit by whom Jesus cast out demons an unclean spirit.

My deliverance from this terrible doubt came about through a better understanding of repentance and faith. It seems clear to me now that no one can repent and believe in Christ apart from the working of God. "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him" (John 6:44), and "All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away" (John 6:37). If my friend or I had actually committed an unpardonable sin, then the Father would not have drawn us to repentance and faith in Christ. We can conclude this because we know that Jesus will not cast out anyone who comes to Him. He would have to cast us out if we were guilty of an unpardonable sin.

Never never forget, John 3:16. Do not lose your faith. Don't let the Devil put those bad thoughts in your head. He is quite good at it. Ask God to put better thoughts in your head. Don't forget to pray. I talk to God everyday, just like he was sitting next to me.

The root cause of worry is fear. In proverbs: The beginning of wisdom is fear of the Lord. That is,respect. Read Proverbs and dwell on the practical advice therein.
