I see here, each time there's a question about religion or faiths, many answered based on their sentiments and not facts which I find very troubling indeed.

That is true in most cases, when you ask a question, you do not have any guarantees on what kind of answer you are going to get. This is not the place to go for "facts", maybe an encyclopedia would be a better source, people (with opinions) answer the questions on this site.

I disagree. Yahoo Answers is like a tool: you can use it to learn, teach, and help, because that's how you want to use it. And Yahoo Answers monitors will be happy with the way you use this tool.

Or, you could use it to mislead, deceive, or spread hate, disrespect... in which case you will violate the terms and conditions of usage, and if the Yahoo Answers monitors don't detect your message (they are humans not machines), users will, and will flag your message.

Give Yahoo Answers a good use, and you will learn a lot. I am not here to teach but to learn from others. Strenght through knowledge.

Yahoo Answer is misused to spew hatred and disrespect by a lot of people, yes. But every now and then you find genuine people, who are just trying to answer the question. Pretty rare though.

You have to understand that where can people look up real facts on religion...The holy books are being questioned, if they are real and if there teachings are to be followed...When talking about religion most will talk from there own beliefs and feelings.....Religion is deep and where as b4 we could talk openly now, we just might start hate crimes and war............

Religion is based on sentiments and not usually facts so subjective opinions are to be expected.

I find many questions aimed specifically at making people... *ahem*... upset. But hey. It's Yahoo. Yahoo chat is exactly the same.

What are you willing to do to make it more pleasing for yourself? I ask myself this question all the time; it reminds me to be patient and never condenscending. It reminds me to look before I leap.
I see the answer to your question as no.
