So most people say only God can make miracles, not man (which is an interesting perspective given the many wondrous things man (and woman) has achieved, including clever things like yahoo answers).
Maybe the real question here then, is why did God feel the need to perform miracles in the past, but not now? There can be no doubt that a few miracles here and there would strengthen the currently dying Christian religion (or any other religion for that matter) by attracting lots of new followers.... Doesn't your God want lots of followers?

You Will never see a miracle performed all the time you v got a hole in your ar?s so grow up. God is in every human being not an entity and heaven is a plain that cannot be defined with our present knowledge. Evolution in man will develop God further and enhance the way humanity strives forward. Miracles are performed every day by the mind God gave us to use so use yours and get real. Simply kneeling in prayer and waisting time bleating out praise to God is a complete waste of time and is for the poor sick people that have no education and not willing to participate in mans forwards struggle.God is the good in Man listen to and act good and all of us will live in a place akin to heaven here on earth and after were dead.

If God and/or Jesus performed miracles in biblical times then why did they stop? If God exists then where are his miracle workers now? What is the point of a priest if he doesn't have a special connection to God? brilliant question lets see them wriggle out of this one with their only when it suits us argument

No as God works through the priest not the other way round. God chooses the right time and place for miracles to perform. Not just when an instrument (the priest) of God. decides.

(-: A priest's job isn't to perform miracles like some Holy Flying Circus. A good priest is a shepherd, who helps guide his/her parishioners to a better life and a sense of community involvement and understanding. I suspect the whole god thing is a tool to keep the parishioners in line for their own good -- a lot of people will goof off unless they think there's a Big Boss looking over their shoulder.
Besides, who defines what a miracle is? Isn't life itself a miracle? In which case, we can all be priests, if a miracle is all we need for the job (-:.

Priests perform miracles through the power of God all the time.
They:
+ Change the bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ
+ Give God's forgiveness of sins in the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession)
+ Spiritual strengthen people through the sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick
With love in Christ.

Well your question is sort of Vauge! Here it is, First of all define what a Miracle is to you! If I saw a fork bend in half was that a miracle or did you or someone Manipulate it in some way? I would say most preist or pastors or decons get in the church to witness or demand a true miracle in order to teach the word of GOD.... There either Called in the spirit to do this or they simply have this determination to seek God and to Teach it to other's. If they are only in it for a "MIracle" then there committing a very sinnful act them selfs. God chooses to do his will on people not just preist....

I think that we should set up a series of altars on the ground, one for each religion, and then have the representatives of the various religions pray to their gods to have their altar consumed by fire from heaven. Then all of the religions whose altars are not consumed by fire should admit to being false, refund their adherents' money, and disband.
Or maybe just the religions that claim to be able to do this - I'm thinking Christianity, of course - should be held to the standard they claim. People who believe that the Bible is literal truth believe this happened - but you'll notice they aren't willing to demonstrate that it's true. Such a simple, straightforward demonstration, straight out of the Bible that they claim to believe in. Yet they're unwilling to put it to the test. I think it's pretty danged obvious why.
Later:
I don't think that the problem is that we're asked to believe based on pure blind faith. For example, I think that Dashes' answer is perfectly good. The problem is that we're asked to believe that there are miracles that serve as evidence of the existence of a god, but then we're asked to accept on blind faith that there are miracles. That's just plain dishonest.
If you want to insist that God does miracles and thereby demonstrates his existence and power, you should be prepared to have God produce those miracles. Citing past "miracles" - completely unverifiable ones - is just lying. Anyone can pass that test, with no powers whatsoever.
If God is not to be put to the test, then admit that your belief in God is based in pure faith, and stop falsely claiming to have evidence for His existence. All you accomplish when you do that is to demonstrate that your religion is populated by shameless liars.
Or to make it short and sweet, I'm a lot more likely to accept
"My religious belief is based on pure faith - I believe without evidence, and you are of course free to choose to do so as well, or not"
than
"My religious belief is based on solid evidence, so you should believe as well...but no, I can't produce any of that evidence. How dare you question my claim to have it??!"

Nope. If he can perform a miracle to prove his connection to God, I will leave Church.
For no one should test God, just read the temptation of Jesus. No, no one should test God.
If God can be ordered around, who is greater? Man or God?
If this priest can control god, this is no longer a real god. That is no more real miracle from real God. I better leave.
So, when we pray for the sick, it is not the special person only, that is able to pray fo the sick. God choose to heal, and perfom any mircales as He wish. Because he loves us, he will heal. We cannot demand.

first of all Moses exchange into the device of Gods capacity, Moses under no circumstances did the miracles, it exchange into all From God. And definite, miracles are achieved by utilising authentic faith all of the time. even with the undeniable fact that it is not the guy of mortal adventure that does them! and devil is asserted that he will carry out miracles too. So the deceiver decieves and people lose their salvation.
