Not enough information, the majority of my friends are women and with some I suppose we playfully flirt but its just for fun. Its hard to say because when a guy is comfortable with a friend that is female occasional playful flirting doesn't mean anything, its just in jest. you could always call him on it and see how he reacts for a true answer.

You male friend doesn't have to have a "crush" on you to want to have sex with you. Most guys don't equate feelings with sex.... so he is just letting you know what is on his mind... just in case you might want to have sex - just the possibility is enough to cause distracting thoughts.... especially if your sexy. Then you have to worry about all your "guy" friends. Most of them are probably just being patient... still stuck in the quantity mindset and looking any kind of sexual conquest to feed our insatiable egos...

it can all depend on how he acts around u. is he joking about with you or could it mean more?
is he holding your gaze longer than necessary?
acting more friendly than usuall towards u ,touching your shoulder or laughing at your jokes even if they aren't funny.
if u want to no u r going to have to ask him
but make sure you explain how u feel, as to you ,it might seem as if he likes you. But to him, he could see it as just being friendly.

just because he flirts with u doesn't mean he likes u. All my male friends flirt like hell with me that doesn't mean they're like me anything more than a friend.

being that you are good friends he most likely views you as "safe" so he can have fun flirting without all the weird stuff that goes with it if it is taken seriously
