Age has nothing to do with it. I think what is important is the issues that the candidate is talking about, what his platform is. It doesn't matter how old he or she is, or what race they are.
I think there is an advantage in voting in younger candidates to help create more diversity of opinions in legislatures. Younger candidates may offer new perspectives or be more aware of the needs of other young adults.

If the experienced politicians in the race have proved themselves incompetent, dishonest, or ineffective, I'd vote for the young idealist and send him off with a prayer. Politics depends a lot on who you know, who owes you a favor, and how well you know how to manipulate the system. It's very hard to find someone with that kind of experience who has kept enough of their ideals to really serve the people. But they do exist. I'd hope this young man would run for a lesser position, get some experience and then tackle the big job. It's hard to do a good job when you have too much to learn while you're doing it. But not impossible!

Before I give a straight answer, I would like to put a little light on the subject. Everybody is human, which means that noone is going to be perfect all of the time, and because of their frailties of being human, are not always going to do what's best for the ideal plan of the human race-making the right choices at the right time. That's why we must all work together not only through voting, but there should be some kind of campaign where voters are involved so that they too may help shed some light on many issues in the presence of candidates who, if elected, will base their decision-making on voter's campaigns. However, congress has not made anything of that nature official, because representatives are limited to a system that has been designed only for people like George Bush to have the final "say-so." Now, to answer your question, the U.S. congress has to clean their own doorstep. Moralize their laws and design them to do justice for the victim rather than justice for the offender. Secondly, we have to look at our own communities and neighborhoods with all of the activity that's going on between the gangbangers and question them as far as the wars that occur between them and why. And maybe the reason gangs exist is a symbol of the political wars that occur between 2 countries. If it is over territory, then how can we fix the issue?? If it is because of drugs, how can we fix the issue?? If it is over power, how can we fix the issue?? If it is prejudicy of races and nationalities, then how can we fix the issue?? If it is over oil, how can we fix the issue?? If the 30-year old activist can make plans to resolve these issues between 2 countries than gangs, we can resolve the issue on terrorism and war.

Has he ever held a job? Does he drink and or use drugs? Does he have any charactor at all other then he is a activist. Does he make money working or stealing? I would never vote for a know it all that has no real education or work experence. To get a real education you actually have to experenced life not just go to school and then think you are smarter then every one else so you should be mayor. Has he ever ran a bussiness or even had a management job? No I would not vote for the him.

I really don't see age as a barrier. Obviously, the more experience the better, so you hope that the older the wiser, but that's not always the case (look at Congress). I would definitely support someone that age for office, especially if he's as good as you say he is (and especially if he's got that Obama touch).
Maybe a younger person is what your city, maybe all cities, need. The younger the less tainted. He sounds like a great guy.

Yes, if all you say is true, and he has the people, not his pocketbook, in mind.
The age doesn't matter, as long as he is eligible to run at his age. I see no problem with a 30 year old as a leader, and would definitely vote for anyone of any age that shows integrity and responsibility.
Having political experience helps, but having experience with people is even more important.

It depends on the community. I have seen younger people run for Mayor (eg: 24 years old) and received thousands of votes, though not enough to get in the office.
This person should run for mayor and if they are better than the rest of the candidates running than they should get
the job, regardless of their age.

He'd get my support, if he stands for the same issues that I do. However, the majority of the voting population is age 65+ and they are not as willing to accept the idea of a younger candidate.

in the beginning, study a thank you to spell, "racist". Then, we are in a position to take it from there. additionally, as an African American woman, i stumble on it particularly offensive which you think of all blacks think of this type. i will vote for the greater efficient candidate, thank you very plenty! you realize, that's relatively exciting... the Republicans will vote for their very own, no remember how crooked and no remember what number circumstances they have been caught in scandals! what's incorrect with this image? i assumed the belief of vote casting replaced into to compliment the greater efficient candidate, no longer vote somebody right into a gentle place the place they have no thought what they are doing! The FEMA mess replaced into info of that! i'm all approximately helping people who will do their ultimate for the folk, no longer somebody who will shelter "their boys"! Hmmm... who does this sound like?
