I stretched my back last June (June 1st, to be precise), and the pain still has not gone away. I've been doing stretches every night for the past week, and those seem to help, but having the injury has greatly hindered my exercising, and I need to lose some weight, plus I want to work out, it's just painful right now. Any ideas on how to work out with a back injury? Walking maybe? any strength training I could do that wouldn't put much pressure on the back? Anything you got would be helpful! Thanks! And yes, I am seeing a doctor about it haha

Try doing Pilates. I had a similar situation, as I put out my rotator, and it hurt to do most work-outs. So now Ive taken up pilates, and it seems to be fine. As this is a more controlled work out and you stretch at the same time. So if u cant afford classes, or dont have the time/transportation, then just invest in a couple pilates DVD's and a yoga mat! Its great!:) Good luck!

Don't exercise yet.Go to a doctor, and if need be to a physio for a while till you're OK. I made the mistake of weight training and playing basketball with a hurt back, making it even worse so in the end I had to take a long 3 month break for my back to heal. That made me miss the last part of the season for my team. Instead I could have gone to a physio for two weeks.Just be patient and with the right course of action you will be exercising in no time.

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span. All exercises other than forward bending.
