I married my best friend.
He is the best thing that ever happened to me, knows me inside and out and then some.
We went through hell and back but our fiendship withstood it.
I hope this happens to you too.

It will be a special relationship that oneself could not really comprehend as very often that feeling that both shared does not equate to boy girl relationship and yet the friendship are very much being cherished and trusted especially the time spend together that might have an impact in anybody life emotionally and sensationally.
Conclusion: A best friendship between man and woman can come into a mixed feeling of confusion and that is special connection that will work out well if you can manage it no matter it will turn out to be what relationship.

I dont think it would be a bad idea but I have never had this happen to me. I have never seen a woman as a best friend really to speak of so I would not know exactly what to expect in this kind of situation but I do believe that it could work out if you two are honestly best friends and all. I mean, you guys know everything and anything about each other and as far as you know, don't keep anything from each other, so it seems to me as if it would be the perfect relationship but I could always be wrong. Give it a try but make sure it isn't going to compromise your friendship. Some people have difficulty of being friends with their ex-lovers after a break-up for odd reasons. I would be one of those, I have never talked to an ex of mine after we have already broken up. Makes it easier for me to move on and the relationship isn't brought up as much in following relationships.

do you mean should? it could be very possible the reason they are friends is because the things in common, and that would prove to lead a long lasting relationship. if you do what i and my friend did, is promise each other to stay friends even after, and try to make the breakup not so bad when it does happen, im sure things will work out. there will still be that attraction there, but it wont be so hard, having to worry about the infatuation from the get go. thats from personal experience though. good luck.

Yup. I married my best friend. I worked with him for years, he dated my best friend from high school, matter of fact he roommated with her after we started dating. We went through marriages with kids with others, but amidst divorces at the same time we bonded deeper than best friends and we were together ever since. It took us awhile to get married for financial reasons. But people still refer to us as the best couple. My first name is his last name and vice versa (ex. I'm Bob. Bob? Yeah Bob and Jill?? Oh yeah.. long time joke) But as a girl not the butterflies I wanted or the dreams of the Cleavers, but there is an innate trust and comfortablness that cannot compare. It is amazing what we can do try or say with each other and there is no closets to find because we were friends firsts. He has seen my UGLY and married me anyways.-----But to go to this is risking that best friend thing also. I saw My Best Friends Wedding and hated it. But maybe I am lucky. Or maybe I just had balls to try.

Not always. I have been best friends with a woman for almost 10 years and we've never even thought about starting a relationship.

It can happen BUT here's the problem. If the relationship doesn't work out, you will never be as close as friends again. If you treasure the friendship and don't want to lose it, find a lover elsewhere.

been there done that but it usually doesnt last and then the friendship will never be the same and you lose out on the best thing you had.Its quite normal to have feelings but if she or he is a best friend I would leave it alone or it gets weird.
